The live-action adaptation of Disney's 1992 animated classic film Aladdin hit the big screen last week, bringing with it all the magic and wonder that the story beholds. Starring Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Will Smith as Aladdin, this incredible live-action remake is just one of many live-action releases planned by Disney in the coming months and years.

Aladdin's live-action remake was projected to bring in between $75 million and $85 million at the North American box office on it's opening weekend. However, it produced a staggering return of $112.7 million, making it the 5th highest box office figure for films released on USA's Memorial Day weekend.
